Hi! I'm Hatti, nice to meet you!

I'm a frightfully-friendly artist from the UK. I can usually be found in my studio smiling & covered in paint while surrounded by a beautiful collection of oddities & curiosities ♥

My Story

My name is Hatti & I am the owner, designer, creator (you name it!) behind The Dark Times.

I started my little shop in 2017 while I was studying to be a Theatre, Puppet & Set Designer. However after an injury in 2019 that put me out of work, I decided to take a leap of faith and make The Dark Times my full-time job!

I spend my days designing, creating and selling alternative gothic homeware & accessories as well as creating exciting commission work. This ranges from custom dark & alluring papercut illustrations & hand painted pieces to full gothic window displays for small businesses!
